Regular yoga practice can help you to reach the very seed or root of your being. I begin with the understanding that the essential purpose of yoga is to encourage a clear and quiet mind so that "seeing" happens. This is important because as you learn to stay present with your actions through the practices of yoga, you come into contact with the perceiver within you, "the one who sees." The impact of joining your mind with this "seeing" capacity is that you can begin to understand the nature of all things, including yourself. When you touch self-knowing in this way, you awaken, and can move toward experiencing deep inner peace.

Within your body you have access to the entire universe. There are places in your body that can ground you to the earth, that can connect you to all the oceans and rivers, to the air, to all sounds and vibrations, to light, and to all of space. I guide you to vitalize the core energy centers or Chakras in your body which orient your spiritual being and reverberate through every cell in your body.

I teach the three basic areas of practice that form the root of yoga:

  •  Cleansing practices that produce clarity of purpose
  •  Reflective practices that help us to find who we are
  •  Practices of devotion that impact the quality and     intention of our actions

Sessions can include practice of physical postures, breath awareness, guided visualizations, chakra exploration, concentration skills or meditation practice.

I teach yoga postures with an overall focus on alignment and attunement through awareness of energetic flow.

~All yoga postures or movements I suggest are to suit your body, using props and creativity to assist you safely and with ease into movements. Clients should be comfortably dressed to be ready to move.
